Phocas Cave Suites - Goreme

central gem for urban exploration and fine views

We spent two nights in the Queen Cave Suite, and I loved how close we were to beautiful hiking areas like Rose Valley, just about 700 meters away, perfect for walking and soaking in the natural beauty of the landscape.

As for me location is amazing and beautiful, not far from Avanos, Uerguep, Goereme, Phocas Cave Suites is located and the surrounding hiking trails and wonderful restaurants nearby. Also, I visited Aynali Church, set a few steps away from the hotel.

i found everything great, would be happy to recommend it to all. i enjoyed the hotel, it's amazing and excellent and the location is marvellous away from center of goreme. the services were exceptional.

The location was unreal-we witnessed hot air balloons float right above us! The spacious cave room added character, and the terrace views were gorgeous every morning.

Cesar's really good help with our rental car issues and arranging balloon flights made our stay nice. The amazing views of the balloons floating overhead enhanced our experience.

The Presidential Cave Suite offers a unique experience with its earthy decor and charming cave-like ambiance. The location allows access to a handful of nearby small restaurants, which can be a nice touch after a day of exploring.

Dust accumulates in the corners of the cave suites, indicating a need for more thorough cleaning, even if the main areas are well-kept. The hotel sits atop a steep cobbled hill, which proves tricky for anyone with mobility issues. In the evenings, the surrounding area tends to be quiet, limiting options for dining and nightlife, so a rental car is advisable for exploring further afield.

Fine Views and Really good Service

Our group stayed in the Arch Cave Suite for three nights and loved the upscale amenities, especially the hot tub! The staff were helpful, answering all queries. The steep hill might be challenging for some, but the views are worth it. Plan ahead for dining options nearby.

We went rock climbing and explored some very nice caves. The views of hot air balloons in the morning from the rooftop terrace were lovely. Just a heads up, the walk back up from the town is steep, but totally worth it!

The steep walk up from the bottom road was a bit of a cardio workout, especially after a long day of activities.

The staff was courteous, providing assistance when our rental car troubles arose. The breakfast selection was adequate, though a bit limited for more adventurous eaters. Grilled meat was a highlight, but the noise from nearby roads occasionally disrupted the tranquility we sought.

The room I stayed in was the real deal and really nice. It had a balcony and a terrace, which was a big plus. Having coffee & tea making things, a fridge, and even some glassware there was super handy! 🌟

The rooms here are nicely decorated and updated, making our holiday stay super enjoyable. the location is peaceful and conveniently close to all the cool things to see, with tons of great restaurants nearby. 🌟
